I had an idea for T-shirt slogan, but you’re probably not going to appreciate it unless you’re sad enough to go to as many affiliate marketing industry events as I do. It would read:
“Every time you clear your cookies, an affiliate cries.”
The Startups Awards 2009 were held at the Marriott Hotel in Grosvenor Square, London, last Friday, and Alicia and I attended to represent Skimlinks – a finalist in two categories; Online Business of the Year, and Innovative Business of the Year.
Mothercare announced this week that they are closing their affiliate programme with Commission Junction and move over to Tradedoubler, just weeks ahead of Christmas.
The Commission Junction programme closes on November 16th, consequently forcing publishers to update every link out to Mothercare, and fast, if they want to take advantage of seasonal sales.
