Our night at the A4U Awards was a little slow to get started, as Ciaran, Mark, Alicia and I prepared our black-tie brilliance in the office bathrooms, with some (Alicia!) having to be dragged away from their computer keyboards.
We arrived at The London Hilton in Park Lane and headed up to the ‘drinks reception area’ to ‘mingle’ and got started on the champagne.
And we didn’t stop.
Just minutes after we had polished off our three course dinner at the Affiliate Window and Books Direct tables, the awards commenced.
Just minutes after that – we had our little mitts on three A4U Awards.
Best New Entrant, Best Use of Technology within Affiliate Marketing and Innovative Affiliate of the Year.
Yes, that’s a record.
We were all shocked – if we were confident of anything, it was that even just one out of three wouldn’t be too bad a hit rate.
Three out of three was a crazy pipe dream. In reality, it really was quite crazy!
Congratulations, and more champagne began to flow, and we all felt a little like kids in a candy shop.
To be recognised so soon after the launch of Skimlinks – we’re talking a matter of months, is amazing.
For all of us at Skimlinks, the recognition of what we do only validates and pushes us to work harder and continue to innovate.
We had a brilliant night at the awards, and the response has been overwhelming since. We feel truly honoured to receive these awards, and we want to thank all of our friends, colleagues and associates for their continued support – we wouldn’t be here without you!
